Hello Agents!

Here are your objectives this week.

Math: We will continue learning to multiply by six this week and use what we have learned to create projects.

Science: We will review what we have learned about thermal energy and work on projects for the celebration of learning.

Language Arts: We will continue our novel study and work on improving our story writing with developing characters and the setting as well as writing a compelling lead and creating suspense.

Social Studies: We will use what we learned about how Coast Salish communities found and used resources to survive to create a map of a first nations community that we can compare with our modern community maps.

Bible: We will read about Adam and Eve, then do an art project on it.

Art: We will work on painting projects.

Spelling: We will work on the N7 spelling list this week and have the test on Friday.

Important Notices

• February 8 Celebration of Learning – We are inviting parents to visit the classroom after school to see student displays of what what we have learned this year.
• Shrink Wrap Mr. Morris! Mr. Morris has a challenge for the Highroad community. If we can raise $5000.00 for the beautification project between Feb 1-22, he will volunteer to be shrink wrapped to the red post at the front of the school during the morning greeting time on Friday, Feb. 22. Donation cut off is Thursday, Feb. 21 at midnight. You can donate at the school office, or online (highroadacademy.com/product/donate) to this excellent cause of seeing our Principal ‘hang around’ the morning of the 22!
