Mission Briefing

Hello Agents,

I love all the hard work you have put into maps, paintings, and science experiments, and I look forward to learning some new skills this week.

Here are your objectives.

  • Spelling: We will keep learning spelling rules for one more week before we begin with our lists. Check out this page on spelling rules, which can be found in Online Learning Resources.
  • Language Arts: We will learn to brainstorm and write a personal narrative
  • Math: We will continue learning to add numbers up to one thousand.
  • Social Studies: We will learn about culture and send home a project that students can fill out with their own culture and present to the class.
  • Science: We will experiment the weight of different forms of matter.
  • Bible: We will continue our study of John.
  • Art: We will lean about value and how to mix a gradient of shades.
  • Homework:
    • Read 15 min. I will send books home this week that are at each student’s reading level. I will test them on fluency and comprehension at this level in class.
    • Skip count by 2, 5, and 10. I will send blocks home to help students skip count and learn how to exchange ones for tens.
    • For next week: Complete the culture flip book with your family to write about your unique styles of food, clothing, celebrations, and more.

I look forward to another fun week of learning. I’ll see you soon!
