Mission Briefing

Hello Agents,

Our art projects are turning out really well. I love how much effort everyone is putting into their work. Friday, I sent home a culture assignment. Please work with an adult or older student you know to write about your culture. We will be discussing our culture this week and have students present their own family’s culture.

Here are your objectives.

  • Spelling: We will begin working on list L1 this week and take the test Monday, October 26. Check out this page on spelling rules, which can be found in Online Learning Resources.
  • Language Arts: We will start writing a personal narrative.
  • Math: We will continue learning to add numbers up to one thousand.
  • Social Studies: We will learn about culture and present what students wrote about their own culture.
  • Science: We will experiment with the weight of gas and chemical change.
  • Bible: We will continue our study of John.
  • Art: We will lean how to use value and contrast to paint a scene.
  • Homework:
    • Read 15 min. I will send books home this week that are at each student’s reading level. I will test them on fluency and comprehension at this level in class.
    • Skip count by 2, 5, and 10. I will send blocks home to help students skip count and learn how to exchange ones for tens.
    • Complete the culture flip book with your family to write about your unique styles of food, clothing, celebrations, and more.

I look forward to another fun week of learning. I’ll see you soon!
