Mission Briefing
Hello Agents,
I’m looking forward to talking to all the parents about how the year is going. Please make sure to sign up for a time slot for the Parent Teacher conferences on November 16. We will celebrate Remembrance day this Tuesday with a recorded performance, and we will have no school on Wednesday.
Here are your objectives this week.
- Spelling: We will begin working on list L4 this week and take the test Tuesday, November 17.
- Language Arts: We will keep working on our personal narratives.
- Math: We are learning how to subtract numbers up to one thousand.
- Social Studies: We will learn more about our the Coast Salish culture.
- Science: We will learn about classification.
- Bible: We will continue our study of John.
- Art: We will create a portfolio of our art so far and finish up projects.
Homework:
- Read 15 min. I am sending books home, and I will test them on fluency and comprehension in class.
- Skip count by 2, 3, 5, and 10. Try counting with objects around the house, organizing objects into groups.
- Spelling List Practice: Have students sound out the words. Recognizing the phonograms in each word is the most important part of how we teach students to spell with SWR.
I look forward to another fun week of learning. I’ll see you soon!
