Mission Briefing: Field Trip Monday!

Hello Agents,

The field trip to Maan Farms is Monday! It looks like it might be raining, so be prepared with boots, a rain jacket, and maybe even an umbrella.

Last week was a lot of fun experimenting with balloons and gases. I look forward to more experiments and fun stories!

 

  • Spelling: Follow the link to spelling city for list L4. Our test will be on November 1.
  • Writing: We will learn how to describe people with similes in our writing.
  • Reading: We are learning how to connect with what we read.
  • Math: We are continuing our study of place value.
  • Social Studies: We are creating travel brochures that highlight the important features of the different regions of Canada.
  • Science: We will learn more about the behaviour and properties of gas.
  • Art: We will learn how to create contrast in our art.
  • Bible: We will learn the importance of honesty. Our memory verse is Revelations 21:4.

  • Fridays are Knight Days, so feel free wear a casual clothes if with a knight shirt.

Mission Briefing: Fall Colours Day and Field Trip

Hello Agents,

Fall Colours Day is tomorrow. Wear casual clothes with fall colours!

We are going on our first Field Trip on October 25 to Maan Farms for a corn maze and variety of fall related activities. We will leave at 10:15 am and return by 3 pm. Please wear casual clothes and be prepared to be outdoors in whatever weather we face. If you would like to join us, meet as at Maan Farms by 11 am, though you will have to pay for yourself and anyone you bring with you.

We are getting into some writing this week, and I am very happy with our discussions about goals and ideas that we will use. Stay safe our there agents. Here are your objectives:

  • Writing: We are learning about personal narratives and set writing goals for the year.
  • Reading: We are learning how to connect with what we read.
  • Math: We are learning about attributes and patterns.
  • Social Studies: We will finish our map books and learn about the different regions of Canada.
  • Science: We will learn about liquid density and experiment with bubbles.
  • Art: We will learn about warm and cool colours.
