Hello Agents,

The weather has been great. I hope we can all get outside a little more. On May 10, we are going on a field trip to the Blue Heron Reserve, leaving the school at 9:00 am and returning at 2:30pm. Please be prepared for rainy weather and bring a lunch that can be eaten outside easily.

• Spelling: We will work on Spelling list N4 this week and have the test on May 3.
• Language Arts: We are learning about the elements of story writing.
• Math: We are learning how to understand and find fractions.
• Social Studies: We are learning about the First Nations of Canada.
• Science: We will learn about ecosystems.
• Art: We will continue our hot air balloon art, creating dimension with lines.
• Bible: We will learn the importance of persevering like Job.

Homework: I have updated the homework page with the skills students need to practice every day.

As we are going into the last part of the year, we want to make sure we solidify the skills we need to have going into Grade 4.  One important skill is knowing multiplication facts, which means we will want to make sure that we are practicing them at home with flash cards, hundreds charts, or online tools.
