Hello Agents!

Here are your objectives this week.

Math: We will continue learning to multiply and count by eight as well as use it to problem solve and find the area and perimeter of rectangles.

Science: We will do STEM projects, learning how to think critically, innovate, and communicate.

Language Arts: We will continue our novel study and work on improving our story writing by adding dialogue, paragraphs, and transitions.

Social Studies: We will continue learning about oral story telling and the way of life of the Sto:lo.

Bible: We will continue working on our pop-up book of the story of creation. Our memory verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Art: Our painting has been delayed lately, but this week we will finally get to painting that wintry scene.

Spelling: We will work on the O2 spelling list this week and have the test on Friday.

Important Notices

  • Thank you for the help with the Bake Sale
    • The bake sale was a great success. We made $662. Thank you for helping us raise money for the Thailand Mission Trip.
  • Silent Auction Baskets
    • On Saturday, April 27th we are having our 40th Anniversary Gala.  During this gala we will be having a silent auction.  In this auction, each grade will be putting together a themed basket to be bid on.  Our grade is building a basket with a Family Game Night theme.  We are asking each student to donate $5 towards this basket.  Money can be brought to the classroom teacher or paid at the office.  Please send money in by Friday, March 15th.   Thank you for supporting our silent auction.

Mission Briefing

Hello Agents!

Here are your objectives this week.

Math: We are continue learning to multiply and count by seven as well as fuse it to problems solve and find the area and perimeter of rectangles.

Science: We will experiment with different types of heat transfer.

Language Arts: We will continue our novel study and work on improving our story writing by adding dialogue, paragraphs, and transitions.

Social Studies: We will learn about oral story telling and the way of life of the Sto:lo.

Bible: We will continue working on our pop-up book of the story of creation. Our memory verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Art: We will paint the wintry scene.

Spelling: We will work on the O1 spelling list this week and have the test on Friday.

Important Notices

  • Bake Sale
    • On March 5th, the primary department will be hosting a bake sale to support our school’s mission trip to Thailand.  The sale will be open before and after school in the foyer on March 5th.  Each item will be $1.  There will be individually packaged gluten-free items available. Thank you for supporting Team Thailand.
  • Math Mayhem
    • We will have the gym filled with fun math games on March 5th from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Mrs. Bartel’s Grade 11 Math class has been working hard to creating various math games.
  • VSO
    • Please arrive by 8:40 am on Wednesday, March 6 so that we can take attendance and leave by 9:00 am.
