Hello Agents,

I’m so glad to have a full class for so many days. We’re making such great progress in writing and math. I look forward to the field trip on the 10th. Please make sure to have your criminal record check if you would like to join us there.

  • Spelling: Follow the link to spelling city for list N3. Our test will be on March 7.
  • Writing: We learning to write comparison essays.
  • Reading: We are learning to question and wonder in a way that deepens our understanding of what we read.
  • Math: We using multiplication to find area.
  • Social Studies: We are learning about the Sto:lo culture.
  • Science: We are studying the characteristics and comparing animals.
  • Art: We are working on drawing a house with measurements.
  • Bible: We will learn the importance of saying sorry.

I  hope everyone had a great Family Day weekend. I look forward to getting into some reading and writing non-fiction this week.

  • Writing: We learning to write comparison essays.
  • Reading: We are learning to question and wonder in a way that deepens our understanding of what we read.
  • Math: We are finishing our multiplication unit and will be moving on to finding areas.
  • Social Studies: We are learning about Coast Salish perspectives and culture.
  • Science: We are studying the characteristics and differences of plants.
  • Art: We are finishing up unfinished art projects.
  • Bible: We will learn the importance of loving others.

Swimming Field Trip – Thursday, March 10

Thursday, March 10th we are going on a field trip to the Leisure Centre to swim. We will leave at 10:15am and return by 12:15pm.

Students will need to bring swimsuits, towels, life jackets (if needed) with them. Please make sure students have a change of clothes for their day at school.

Parents, please feel free to join us at the Leisure Centre. Make sure to follow the Leisure Centre COVID protocols and have a criminal background check on file with the school.

I’m happy to have a chance to share how we are doing in class, and please feel free to contact me if you would like to talk more about how class is going. Though we won’t be doing a spelling list this week, I hope everyone still has a great break for family day weekend!

  • Writing: We are practicing writing stories.
  • Reading: We are learning to question and wonder about deeper meanings as we read.
  • Math: We are learning how to multiply. Practice with skip counting at home will be very helpful.
  • Social Studies: We are learning about Coast Salish perspectives and culture.
  • Science: We are learning to write animal reports to describe the differences between animals and their ecosystems.
  • Art: We are finishing up unfinished art projects.
  • Bible: We will learn the importance of loving others.

  • Writing: We are finishing up our personal narratives.
  • Reading: We are learning to question as we read.
  • Math: We are learning how to multiply. Practice with skip counting at home will be very helpful.
  • Social Studies: We will learn about Coast Salish perspectives and culture.
  • Science: We are learning to write animal reports to describe the differences between animals and their ecosystems.
  • Art: We will  make Valentine’s Day Art.
  • Bible: We will learn the importance of being patient.

Report cards are coming up and I am busy collecting evidence of our learning this year.  I am excited to share how we have been doing and looking forward to more of what we can make in the spring.
