We have been working on understanding the different roles in government. This weekend please take some time to fill out the Government in Action sheet with possible solutions to different problems depending on your role in the government. You only want to fill out solutions for your own role. For example, if you are school trustee, only fill out the three proposals for how to improve student learning. We will help each other fill the rest out on Monday.

In French, we have been learning to greet others and start a conversation. Please complete the French packet so that we can do an activity on it and quiz on Monday.

In science, we are learning how the brain senses the world and assembles it into our perception of reality. For Tuesday, be ready to tell me the colour of this dress:

We have been working on understanding the roles and levels of government with campaigns in local and provincial elections. Next week we will campaign on federal issues and form the three branches of government. I love the campaigns on issues that students have created, and I hope they share their ideas at home to better understand how the government serves us.

Next week will begin studying systems in the human body that support life and adding two more verses to memorize: Matthew 6:9-14.

Our memory verse this week was Matthew 6:9-10. Next week will add verses 11-12, and each week we will add two verses until we have memorized the Lord’s Prayer.
