Mission Briefing

Hello Agents!

Here are your objectives this week, mostly the same as what we would have done last week 🙂

Math: We will continue learning to multiply by four this week and apply the skill to problem solving.

Science: We will learn about insulators and conductors and experiment with them.

Language Arts: We will continue our novel study and work on improving our story writing by adding dialogue, paragraphs, and transitions.

Social Studies: We will review what we have learned about the Coast Salish communities, then compare and contrast them with what we learned about modern communities.

Bible: We will read about the fall in Genesis, then do an art project on it. Our memory verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Art: We will paint a wintry scene.

Spelling: We will not have a spelling this week. We will learn spelling rules.

Important Notices

  • Peter Pan
    • We are going on a field trip to see Peter Pan by the Heritage Christian Online School at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on May 29 at 10am. If you would like to join us, tickets are $16 for parents. Showings fill up quickly and we have to pay for the tickets ahead of time to reserve our seats in the theatre, so please let us know if you would like to attend by Friday, February 22.
  • Bake Sale
    • On March 5th, the primary department will be hosting a bake sale to support our school’s mission trip to Thailand.  The sale will be open before and after school in the foyer on March 5th.  Each item will be $1.  There will be individually packaged gluten-free items available. Thank you for supporting Team Thailand.
  • School Play
    • We will be attending The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe on February 22 in the chapel. It will run from 12:45-3pm. It’s possible that it could go a little long, though we are hoping it ends on time.
