Mission Briefing

Hello Agents,

I am thrilled with how hard everyone is working on their writing. Our stories are really coming alive with words that paint pictures in our minds.

Here are your objectives this week.

Spelling: We will begin working on list L3 this week and take the test Monday, November 9.
Language Arts: We will learn how to show, not tell, write in paragraphs, and use transition words in our stories.
Math: We are learning how to subtract numbers up to one thousand.
Social Studies: We will learn more about our the Coast Salish culture.
Science: We will learn about problem solving and coding.
Bible: We will continue our study of John.
Art: We will paint a remembrance day poppy scene.

Homework:

Read 15 min. I am sending books home, and I will test them on fluency and comprehension in class.
Skip count by 2, 3, 5, and 10. Try counting with objects around the house, organizing objects into groups.
Spelling List Practice: Have students sound out the words. Recognizing the phonograms in each word is the most important part of how we teach students to spell with SWR.
