Mission Briefing
Hello Agents,
I am thrilled with how hard everyone is working on their writing. Our stories are really coming alive with words that paint pictures in our minds.
Here are your objectives this week.
- Spelling: We will begin working on list L3 this week and take the test Monday, November 9.
- Language Arts: We will learn how to show, not tell, write in paragraphs, and use transition words in our stories.
- Math: We are learning how to subtract numbers up to one thousand.
- Social Studies: We will learn more about our the Coast Salish culture.
- Science: We will learn about problem solving and coding.
- Bible: We will continue our study of John.
- Art: We will paint a remembrance day poppy scene.
Homework:
- Read 15 min. I am sending books home, and I will test them on fluency and comprehension in class.
- Skip count by 2, 3, 5, and 10. Try counting with objects around the house, organizing objects into groups.
- Spelling List Practice: Have students sound out the words. Recognizing the phonograms in each word is the most important part of how we teach students to spell with SWR.
I look forward to another fun week of learning. I’ll see you soon!
