Hello Agents,

I hope you had a restful weekend and a chance to catch up. I have an updated Assignment Checklist with daily practice and all assignments that need to be submitted. Please check it out if you aren’t sure what to do or how to start your day. Here is what we are doing this week:

Math

• Complete the division packet by the end of the week.
• Collect a group of objects and divide them into equal groups each day of the week. Email a poster, picture of objects, or video of it to me. Try dividing the following numbers into equal groups and we can share our strategies on Friday.
  • Monday – 12
  • Tuesday – 24
  • Wednesday – 36
  • Thursday -40
  • Friday -56

Writing

• Monday – Personal Narratives – Generating Ideas Part 2
  • Finish the story ideas page or make a poster of the following emotions and write about a time when you felt that way
  • Nervous, Sad, Angry, Scared, Happy
• Tuesday – Personal Narratives – Narrowing a Topic
  • Complete the chart to narrow down the topics that you wrote about in the lessons on generating ideas.
• Wednesday to Thursday – Personal Narratives – Rehearsal and Drafting
  • Pick one of your topics and tell the story to someone.
  • Write your story, making sure to focus on where you narrowed it down.
• Friday – Share your story and make personal goals
  • Share your story with someone.
  • Look over the rubric and choose three areas that you would  like to improve in.

Please be aware that some students are having difficulty keeping up and some students are finishing quickly. If you’re behind, that’s OK. Let me know what difficulties you’re having and we can make adaptations.
