Mission Briefing

Hello Agents,

I loved the culture books everyone made and hearing about your family culture. I look forward to discovering connections from our own culture to different cultures around the world.

Here are your objectives.

  • Spelling: We will begin working on list L2 this week and take the test Monday, November 2.
  • Language Arts: We will continue writing and improving our personal narratives.
  • Math: We will continue learning to add numbers up to one thousand.
  • Social Studies: We will learn our local First Nations cultures.
  • Science: We will learn about problem solving and coding.
  • Bible: We will continue our study of John.
  • Art: We will lean how to use value and contrast to paint a scene.
  • Homework:
    • Read 15 min. I will send books home this week that are at each student’s reading level. I will test them on fluency and comprehension at this level in class.
    • Skip count by 2, 3, 5, and 10. Try counting with objects around the house, organizing objects into groups.
    • Spelling List Practice: Have students sound out the words. Recognizing the phonograms in each word is the most important part of how we teach students to spell with SWR.

I look forward to another fun week of learning. I’ll see you soon!
