Hello Agents,

It was a lot of fun to see everyone’s costumes last week. I look forward to Superhero Day!

Our interim reports go out this week, and since it is a short week, we will not have a spelling list.

  • Spelling: No list this week.
  • Writing: We are learning how to plan and describe a character for our stories.
  • Reading: We are learning to use clues to make inferences about what characters are thinking.
  • Math: We are learning to divide by identifying sets, items divided into sets, and how many items are in each set.
  • Social Studies: We are learning about the Inuit.
  • Science: We are reviewing how heat is transferred through convection.
  • Art: We will continue to learn how to sketch contours.
  • Bible: We will begin Bible scavenger hunts.

Storybook Character Day is Wednesday, so make sure to dress up like a storybook character! We will continue working on the spelling list from last week.

  • Spelling: Follow the link to spelling city for list N6. Our test will be on April 25.
  • Writing: We are learning about story elements and how to create our own stories from the structure of others.
  • Reading: We are learning to use clues to make inferences about what is happening in a story.
  • Math: We are learning to divide by identifying sets, items divided into sets, and how many items are in each set.
  • Social Studies: We will begin learning about the Inuit.
  • Science: We will learn how heat is transferred through convection.
  • Art: We will learn how to sketch contours.
  • Bible: We will review our lessons in Christian Character.

I hope everyone is enjoying the arrival of spring and looking forward to Easter. Since it is a short week, we will stretch out spelling and have the test the Monday after next.

  • Spelling: Follow the link to spelling city for list N6. Our test will be on April 25.
  • Writing: We are learning about story elements and how to create our own stories from the structure of others.
  • Reading: We are learning to use clues to make inferences about what is happening in a story.
  • Math: We are learning to divide by identifying sets, items divided into sets, and how many items are in each set.
  • Social Studies: We are learning about the Sto:lo culture.
  • Science: We will learn how insulators and conductors can inhibit or increase the transfer of energy.
  • Art: We will create Easter art.
  • Bible: We will learn the importance of sharing with others.

Welcome back everyone! We have have some great projects lined up as we learn to write stories, divide, and experiment with thermal energy.

  • Writing: We will learn to write stories from our imagination.
  • Reading: We will learn to use clues to make inferences about what is happening in a story.
  • Math: We are learning to divide by identifying sets, items divided into sets, and how many items are in each set.
  • Social Studies: We are learning about the Sto:lo culture.
  • Science: We will learn about thermal energy and how heat can be transferred.
  • Art: We will draw a hot air balloon, creating volume with lines.
  • Bible: We will learn the importance of being thankful.
